Meet the presenter

Annie Hughes is Director of Harrisburg LaunchBox powered by Penn State, Statewide Coordinator of the Invent Penn State LaunchBox Network, and Director of Outreach at Ben Franklin Technology. Annie is also a certified professional career, life and leadership coach and founder of Hughes Coaching & Consulting LLC. Annie has served as coach to hundreds of professional clients and small businesses, and instructor and designer of lean startup accelerators and design thinking programs. Annie is also an experienced innovation practitioner and brand manager in consumer products and manufacturing. Prior to joining Penn State, Annie was a Manager of Disruptive Innovation at the Hershey Company and a Director of Sales and Marketing at Eco Lips, Inc., a body care startup. In her role with Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Annie creates education programs to support the growth of technology and manufacturing startups throughout PA. Annie received her Bachelors from Northwestern University, IL and her MBA from the University of Iowa.
